On April 6th, 2024, more than 3,000 spectators from all twelve of the University of Pennsylvania's graduate schools and across the community will descend on the Palestra to watch the Wharton Boxing Team take on the Penn Grad Boxing Team. Penn Fight Night ("PFN") is the largest philanthropic event at Penn, combining a thrilling show with making a significant impact in the local Philadelphia community.The event benefits Boys & Girls Club of Philadelphia's Literacy Initiative, which ensures over 1,300 youth each year have access to high-quality literacy instruction and enrichment.Follow us on Instagram @pennfightnight for the most up-to-date information!

Fight Night consists of three events: the Weigh-In, the Fight, and a celebrity-studded After Party featuring Loud Luxury & Sean Kingston making it one of the biggest, baddest, loudest nights at Penn!

2024 FIGHT NIGHT FAQ

  • Where is Fight Night? - The Palestra, 223 S 33rd St, Philadelphia, PA 19104. The main entrance is on 33rd St. just past Shoemaker Green. Look for signs directing you to the door for your ticket type.

  • What time do doors open? - Doors open at 4:00 PM with the first fight beginning at 5:00 PM. Be sure to arrive early to ensure you and your friends get a good seat!

  • What time do doors close? - Doors close at 5:30 PM. If you do not get your wristband before this time you will NOT be able to attend either the fight or the afterparty.

  • Are there assigned seats? - Not aside from ticket tier, so show up early together with your friends!

  • What do I need to bring to the event? - Passport or U.S. ID, ticket You will exchange your ticket for a wristband (that is valid for both the event and the after-party) at the Palestra door.

  • Is there a dress code? - Black tie - you may be turned-away at the door if not in proper attire.

  • How long is each fight? - Each fight will feature three rounds of boxing, with two minutes per round.

  • Is there re-entry? - No, there is no re-entry.

  • Will food be available? - Yes, typical concession food will be available for purchase; VIP ticket holders will have access to prepaid catering.

  • Is there an open bar? - Only at the Weigh-In. Fight Night itself, along with the After-Party will have cash bars.

  • I bought a ticket from a friend, how do I get updates? - Please work with your friend since only the original holder will receive updates.

2024 Weigh-In Details

  • Where and when is Weigh-In? - The Armory - Doors open for pub members at 5:30pm and all other ticket holders may arrive from 6:00pm onward.

  • What exactly is Weigh-In? - Weigh-In is a chance to meet the fighters and see them and their entourages face-off before the actual fight. Open bar and entertainment to be provided!

  • Who can attend Weigh-In? - All ticket holders, including Palestra Only, are welcome. Additionally, all pub members (regardless of whether they have a Fight Night ticket) may attend.

  • What do I bring? - Don't forget your ID! IDs and tickets will be checked at the door.

2024 After-Party Details

  • Where is the After-Party? - The after-party is located at The Fillmore

  • Can I go to the After-Party without a Fight Night ticket? - No. Your Fight Night ticket/wristband provides entry to both the Palestra event and the after party. There is no separate admission to the after party. You must go to the Palestra to pick-up your wristband. NOTE: If you purchased a 'Palestra Only' ticket, your ticket does NOT include admission to the after-party.

  • What do I need to bring to the After-Party? - Everyone will need to have a U.S. Government ID or valid passport in-hand (no digital copies or international IDs will be accepted at the after-party venue. If an ID is expired, guests can provide their email update from the state DOT).

  • How do I get to the After-Party from the Palestra? - Buses will leave from the Palestra to The Fillmore following the last fight.

  • What time do the doors open? - The doors to the after-party are scheduled to open at 10:00 PM.

  • How do I get home from the After-Party? - There will be no arranged transportation from The Fillmore. You will need to make your own arrangements.

  • Is there a bag check at the After-Party? No, please note the specific requirements for all bags: clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags (maximum size: 12"x6"x12") OR small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (maximum size: 4.5"x6.5")
